Throwing junk tires in back of the family tire shop for cash to go to the movies, Patrick never imagined he’d find a way onto the screen himself.
As a child he struggled with supernaturally athletic bullies and mythically fastidious teachers who didn’t always know what to do with this quiet creative kid.
But spending all that time on the outside sparked a fascination with human behavior and storytelling. A lucky string of dance instructors, English teachers and drama coaches knew exactly where to point him.
That fascination has grown into a career spanning over two decades in theatre, film, television, and audiobooks.
As a founding member of the Present Tense Theater Project, Patrick served as Artistic Director and Co-Producer for two original plays devised and performed by the ensemble in New York City in 2003 and 2005. Monster, written by Elizabeth Blocker and Nicole Dufresne explored the parallels of 'othering' with the ancient Greek myth of the Minotaur and the world's reaction to the events of 9/11 and the subsequent invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Cold, written by Elizabeth Blocker, explored the parallels of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen and our journey to ever finding and being enough.
In 2018 Patrick co-founded Storiation Studios, and serves as Supervising Producer to develop content that tells the story we need to hear right now. Sometimes it's an app, sometimes it's a web series or a podcast or a film. Sometimes it's an audiobook. It's that idea we couldn't name until we saw it in front of us and heard it out loud.
Telling stories and working with some of the most talented and hard working humans in entertainment and publishing has been the gift of a lifetime. He hopes to continue doing so for the rest of his stay on this funny little rock.
